Role Details:

The part-time remote Content Specialist is responsible for managing and monitoring Crowd Content’s managed clients’ content creation by leveraging our proprietary platform, performing quality assurance, building workflows that accomplish project goals, and communicating regularly with clients and freelance writers, editors and subject-matter experts.

We're looking for all-stars in the Content Specialist role. An all-star pays attention to detail, is able to self-manage and efficiently organize and address numerous recurring and ad hoc tasks, takes ownership of problems and sees them through to solution, and takes personal pride in delivering high-quality content on time, every time.

This is a part-time role, with likely 20-30 hours per week to start (varies based on client demands). The position could require full-time hours (40ish) in the future.

Overarching Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-volume content projects for a variety of contract clients
  • Interact with, manage, audit and train Crowd Content’s freelance writers and editors
  • Deliver client content on time and within budget

  • Provide timely updates to the client and other stakeholders on all projects
  • Provide solutions to the day-to-day problems and puzzles that inevitably arise
  • Become a trusted advisor with regard to content production, content marketing, and SEO

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of service to managed clients, including quick response times and trustworthy advice on content marketing/production issues
  • Create comprehensive project briefs and workflows to ensure that deliverables meet client requirements
  • Recruit, train and manage teams of writers and editors
  • Provide quality assurance on all client deliverables
  • Identify throughput and client issues as they arise and ensure the problems are resolved through predefined solutions or creative problem solving
  • Adhere to internal production and administrative processes
  • Work as a collaborative team member

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of content management and content strategy experience
  • At least 3 years experience managing a team
  • Up-to-date and knowledgeable on content marketing best practices as well as search and other industry trends
  • Tech savviness with advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel or Google Sheets
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a time-sensitive environment
  • Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating the initiative to solve problems within the scope of the role
  • Preference for working in an environment of frequent change as the company continues to grow, expand its offering, and establish itself as an industry leader
  • Embodiment of our core values: we gather and share knowledge, we evaluate and solve, we aim higher, we serve with genuine enthusiasm, and we carry our weight... sometimes a little more.

Perks:

  • Hourly/part-time remote contract position
  • Flexible working hours
  • Annual PTO and holiday time

Only those selected to advance in the recruitment process will be notified. If selected, the second stage will involve a questionnaire, an editing assessment, and a video submission. The third stage is an interview. This is a contract position. Benefits include only what's listed under "perks" above.
