Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Discord Expert to manage, grow, and optimize our Discord community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing Discord servers, ensuring security, coding and automating servers, and managing moderation teams. Your primary goal will be to expand our Discord community to 50,000 active members while maintaining a 95% satisfaction rate, making it the most engaged community in the industry.
Responsibilities
Community Growth and Engagement:
Develop and implement strategies to grow the Discord community to 50,000 active members.
Foster an inclusive, engaging, and positive community culture.
Create and manage events, activities, and discussions to increase member participation and satisfaction.
Monitor community metrics and analyze engagement trends to continuously improve the community experience.
Server Management And Security
Ensure the security of the Discord server by implementing best practices and monitoring for any potential threats.
Regularly update and maintain server settings, roles, and permissions to ensure smooth operation.
Implement and manage bots and automation tools to streamline server management and enhance user experience.
Coding And Automation
Develop and implement custom bots and scripts to automate server tasks and improve functionality.
Collaborate with the development team to integrate Discord with other platforms and services.
Moderation Team Management
Recruit, train, and manage a team of moderators to ensure community guidelines are followed.
Provide guidance and support to the moderation team to handle conflicts and enforce rules effectively.
Conduct regular meetings and performance reviews with moderators to ensure high standards are maintained.
Requirements
Proven experience in growing and managing large Discord communities.
Strong understanding of Discord server security and best practices.
Proficient in coding and automating Discord servers using bots and scripts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing and leading a team of moderators.
Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform strategy and decision making.
Passionate about building and nurturing online communities.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a tech or software development community.
Familiarity with the SmythOS platform is a great plus.
Knowledge of community engagement tools and platforms.
