Body Shop Estimator – Collision Center Northwest

Job Summary: The Estimators responsibilities are to handle collision service needs for our dealerships and customers. The Estimator will research OEM procedures, Review Pre-scan, Pre-Alignment & Frame Specs and write complete repair plans for vehicles after tear down. The Estimator will also present the repair plans to Insurance Companies, Customers, & Collision Technicians so the vehicle can be repaired in a well-timed manner.

Compensation and Hours:

  • Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 Yearly
  • Monday – Friday


Body Shop Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Research OEM Repair Procedures for All Operations and provides a copy to Collision Technicians, Insurance Companies, and Front Office for filing.
  • Uses OEM Repair Procedures, Pre-Scan, Frame and Pre-Alignment Specs to create a repair plan after tear down.
  • Presents Repair Plan to Insurance Companies and ensures Insurance Estimate/Supplement reflects work needed.
  • Provides Parts Order to Parts Department in a timely manner.
  • Provides Repair Plan to Collision Technicians in a timely manner.
  • Document ALL conversations in the Management System for use by ALL employees.
  • Tracks Vehicle Through Repair Process and updates Management System for customer communication.
  • Reviews Vehicle throughout and at the end of repair process to check Quality and ensure repair plan is/was followed.
  • Submits Final Bill to Insurance Companies for Payment Prior to vehicle release.
  • Maintains Industry Knowledge through continuous Training with OEM Vendors and Industry Training Venues such as I-Car.


Service Technician Requirements:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Previous experience in writing profitable estimates
  • Above average energy level
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Computer experience and willingness to learn new programs
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license


Pre-employment:

  • Pre-employment testing; including drug, background, and motor vehicle reports.
