At Pipio, we’re building a platform that allows video content creators the ability to connect and engage with their audiences with the power of AI. We’re a seed-funded, early stage startup on a mission to provide our users with access to AI-powered, digital actors (including their own) and the ability to generate their on-screen performances in minutes. From facial expression control to language dubbing, creators can now shoot, edit, and launch engaging videos featuring themselves or others in near real time. We are seeking a highly organized, entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual to join our growing team as Chief of Staff in support of the CEO. As a key member of the executive team, you will work closely with the CEO to drive the organization's success. We are looking for a teammate with confidence, high attention to detail and an ability to take projects and run with them. It’s crucial that you be able to handle multiple complex tasks at once in a fast-paced startup environment; tasks will range from the “day-to-day” (calendar management, data entry, errands) to “big picture” (project management, supporting product development). 


This is a hybrid-remote position but will initially require travel to the company’s primary location in Ashburn, VA full-time during onboarding over the first two weeks of employment. After the initial onboarding period, the position will switch to an optionally hybrid or fully remote position depending on your preference.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Supporting the CEO and executive leadership in strategic decision-making and planning
  • Coordinating and engaging with internal and external stakeholders in planning and managing various projects and initiatives
  • Managing a complex calendar and scheduling requirements
  • Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
  • Coordinating with CEO to drive key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, morale events, off-sites, etc.)
  • Acting as first point of contact for communication with the CEO (email, social media, etc.), conducting follow-ups, and surfacing important and urgent communications when necessary
  • Work with necessary stakeholders to prepare invoices, expense forecasts, monthly profit and loss statements
  • Supporting hiring and recruitment efforts to identify and communicate with qualified candidates, screening resumes and references
  • Collecting and compiling data and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Some travel arrangement


And probably most importantly, making sure we’re having fun and keeping things light. 


We’d love to hear from you if you have:


  • 3+ years of post-college, full-time work experience as a Chief of Staff, Administrative Coordinator, Executive Assistant, or in a similar role
  • Strong copywriting, verbal and written communication, and grammar skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Passion for all aspects of running an organization
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to be versatile, embrace change, and adapt
  • A desire to grow within the organization
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace


It'd be particularly awesome if you have:


  • Experience and/or domain knowledge in artificial intelligence, visual computing, digital avatars
  • A deep understanding of start-ups; how they work, their challenges, and how they succeed
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency


Though we’re still in the early days, we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience and our overall assessment of what we observed and learned during the hiring process. The target compensation package for this position is a salary ranging from $100,000 to $150,000 and, as one of our first 10 hires, shareholder equity stake in the company. We utilize market data, our compensation strategy, and your evaluated experience and capabilities from our interview process to determine salaries.
