The Chief Information Officer is a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and is expected to champion the INTEGRIS Health’s Way in creating a culture of continuous improvement to enhance the organization's success. This person possesses a strategic business technology mindset that aligns with business and clinical strategies and goals and adheres with security policies and protocols which will attribute to our overall goal in the reliability and stability of IT Operations with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional experiences to patients and caregivers.

The Chief Information Officer will develop a Digital Strategy and Technology Operations roadmap that considers the operational and financial risks of restructuring/renegotiating existing IT vendor relationships with a very high probability of reducing the outsourcing arrangements and bringing much of the talent back in-house. Strategic sourcing experience is a must! Explore new technologies, evaluate their potential impact, and develop strategies for adopting and integrating them into the organization's operations. AI expertise or a strong understanding of its possibilities and how to implement it is a must, as well as the ability to leverage data.

Responsibilities

The Chief Information Officer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • The Chief Information Officer is a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and is expected to champion the INTEGRIS Health’s Way in creating a culture of continuous improvement to enhance the organization's success.
  • Strategic business technology mindset that aligns with business and clinical strategies and goals and adheres with security policies and protocols. This results in the reliability and stability of IT Operations with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional experiences to patients and caregivers.
  • Craft a well-developed technology vision in collaboration with key leaders with a clear sense of the future and how it connects to the present. Serve as the executive sponsor for digital innovation and transformation and identify digital thought leaders across INTEGRIS Health.
  • Develop a Digital Strategy and Technology Operations roadmap that considers the operational and financial risks of restructuring/renegotiating existing IT vendor relationships with a very high probability of reducing the outsourcing arrangements and bringing much of the talent back in-house.   • Explore new technologies, evaluate their potential impact, and develop strategies for adopting and integrating them into the organization's operations. AI expertise or a strong understanding of its possibilities and how to implement it is a must, as well as the ability to leverage data.
  • Identify the IT talent needs of the organization and develop a talent acquisition and development plan. Partner with HR to attract, retain and develop top talent with the appropriate mix of business knowledge and technical skills required to achieve objectives. Establish an all-star, redundant team with succession planning at all levels.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining relationships with leaders across the organization to deeply understand INTEGRIS Health’s needs and ensure effective delivery of services to meet those needs.
  • Engage and collaborate with leadership in all functional areas, driving integrated technology planning throughout all departments across the organization. At the same time, attune to changes in the market that impact INTEGRIS Health for long-term success.
  • Effectively present information and respond to requirements from various levels of internal/external customers, executive management, and board members
  • Act as liaison and lead ethical and strategic relationships with IT vendors, technical consultants, technology providers, and regulatory agencies to ensure effectiveness, security, and compliance of technology.
  • Build a team that demonstrates laser-focused visionary thinking to achieve business goals and IT operations stability, scalability and security. The IT Team must be allergic to the shiny object syndrome and have a strategic focus on value-based opportunities where technology can be best leveraged profitably.
  • Demonstrate execution mastery in implementing digital products from ideation to production that deliver high customer satisfaction profitably. Create a culture that understands how to deliver this way consistently and has a reliable method for determining which opportunities to pursue, what to prioritize and what resources are required.
  • Synchronize strategy with execution by effectively and efficiently mobilizing the INTEGRIS Health team, vendors and partners to meet business targets.
  • Develop a financially and operationally astute IT team with the ability to make smart decisions that balance operational capacity and financial impact in terms of revenue and margin. They can establish clear financial targets tied to measurable outcomes that are in sync with business objectives and have trusted ROI modeling.
  • Develop a Huddle Board with aligned KPIs, strategies, incentives and goals used to evaluate IT service and delivery such as measuring digital products performance, program/project status, operational stability and security health to identify and alleviate bottlenecks in execution.
  • Create an IT culture with a healthy opportunity and risk balance with guardrails to take advantage of high-potential opportunities that maximize business results and improve performance. Ability to identify and manage risks that could impact the company’s growth and profitability.
  • Inspire and implement a dynamic high-performance culture of innovation that encourages creativity, experimentation, and risk-taking in line with business objectives and established protocols. Embrace new technologies to create new business opportunities, scale and diversify digital product capabilities that enhance the caregiver and patient experiences.
  • Build an IT leadership team with high Digital Intelligence (DQ) that can create an effective digital mindset at INTEGRIS Health with a thorough understanding of INTEGRIS Health’s culture and community.
  • Ensure the appropriate emergency response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity event management plans. Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure that IT investments and initiatives are aligned with the organization's overall strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, computer science, information systems, area of clinical expertise, or other related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 10 year’s of experience in area of responsibility or hospital system preferred
  • Knowledgeable of current national healthcare policies and trends in political environment
  • Knowledge of leadership, management, and performance improvement concepts
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations, and Healthcare Systems
  • Skill in effective verbal and written communication to a variety of audiences through a range of modalities
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
