Chief Financial Officer

Our client ("Company"), a cannabis company, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to drive financial strategy and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of Company.
• Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends.
• Participate in the development of Company’s strategic plans and programs as a member of the senior leadership team.
• Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs / strategies and regulatory action.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting Company.
• Oversee accounting and accounts payable and foster best practices across Company.
• Manage assets and annual CAPEX allocations.
• Oversee external audit compliance and assist with deliverables.
• Provide advice related to effective decision-making related to cost of capital.
• Provide data, reporting, and support for investor relations initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful career trajectory in finance with a focus on FP&A.
• Successful track record of building finance teams from the top seat.
• Driven by digging in and affecting positive change.
• Managing relationships with lenders and banks.

Desired Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate is Denver or Boulder area based.
• Cannabis industry experience.
• CFO experience at a start up.
• Master's degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
• Investor Relations & Controller / Accounting experience.
• CPA or CFA license.
