WSN is seeking Data Governance and Data Integrity Project Management Specialists to place in long-term consulting roles with our client, a tier one wholesale bank headquartered in New York City, committed to driving innovation and excellence in capital markets.
Job Description:
You will play a pivotal role in leading projects focused on data governance and data integrity. Leveraging your experience as both a Project Manager and Data Steward, you will collaborate with stakeholders to design data governance policies, conduct data analysis, and produce key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure data quality issues. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and exceptional communication abilities to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as both a Project Manager and Data Steward, leading projects focused on data governance and data integrity.
- Design data governance policies with the goal of ensuring the integrity of data used for management and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and implement a communications strategy for informing project sponsors and C-Suite level executives of program or project progress, risks, issues, and decisions to be made.
- Produce compelling and engaging PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate project updates, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
- Facilitate working group and steering committee meetings, utilizing strong verbal communication skills to lead discussions and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of data governance initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of data quality issues.
- Collaborate with technology teams to implement solutions that improve data quality and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance and banking with top tier commercial banks, investment banks and/or Big 4 consulting firms
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Experience acting as both a Project Manager and Data Steward in large-scale data governance initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and best practices.
- High skill in data analysis, with experience conducting root cause analysis leveraging data lineage and traceability concepts.
- Proficiency in producing key performance indicators (KPIs) measuring data quality issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project), JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Data Analytics and Visualization tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) to support project objectives.
