The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for harnessing the capabilities of business intelligence solutions to extract and analyze data from the Deltek Vantagepoint platform. They play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights into our workforce, enabling informed decision-making across various departments. This individual will have patience, a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Each member of our IT team works collaboratively and understands the importance of their role in maintaining a successful, growing and profitable firm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing, publishing, and maintaining interactive reports, dashboards, and data models utilizing Vantagepoint and data visualization, such as Power BI.
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design impactful visualizations, and uncover actionable insights
• Conducting in-depth analysis of complex datasets to identify patterns and trends, empowering data-driven decision-making processes
• Analyzing trends and KPIs and assisting in financial modeling and workforce planning
• Running A/B tests and analyzing data for accuracy
• Automating business processes and workflows using data visualization tools and relevant automation technologies
• Integrating data visualization reports into other applications using embedded analytics such as Power BI service (SaaS) or by API automation
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Streamlining report procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Working in tandem with the IT team to ensure adherence to data security, compliance, and governance standards
• Leading Vantagepoint and data visualization onboarding initiatives for new and existing employees, fostering early usage and engagement
• Providing hands-on training and support to end-users, facilitating self-service analytics and automation capabilities
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications
• Ability to strategically plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely and effective completion
• Proficiency in data modelling and analysis, as well as experience in configuring workflows, custom fields, and integration development
• Effective liaison between stakeholders, quality assurance, systems support and users, with a reputation for timely resolution of issues and a drive for business results
• Excellent interpersonal and graphic communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing skills and work
• Ability to learn and recommend new technologies as and when needed
  
  

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Deltek Vantagepoint ERP, dashboard creation, and relational databases
• Experience performing data quality control activities
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, .NET, either C++ or C#, and familiarity with various data analytics tools is preferred
• Previous experience with migration projects within similar industries is highly desirable
• Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certifications a plus
  
  

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer the opportunity to participate in a pre-tax Flexible Spending plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and 401k.

Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements.
