Primary Location: 100% remote

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Business Intelligence (BI) Senior Specialist (100% remote) for our premier client in City, State.

Education And Experience »

• Possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience (related certifications, trainings, professional work and/or coursework).
• Demonstrated experience with data manipulation, including cleansing, standardizing, and transforming: 2 Years.
• Specific and extensive knowledge of statistical software, open-source programming languages, and database querying: 2 Years.
• Experience in leading workshops or training sessions: 2 Years.
• Tableau, Power BI, SAS/R, Excel for data visualizations: 2 Years.
• SAS/R, Python, etc. for data cleaning and automations: 2 Years.

• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of the application of software engineering process tools.
• Advanced knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge.
• Ability to use logic and critical thinking to address issues efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
• Familiarity with using and interpreting data structures and relationships.
• Ability to understand how change management methodology aligns with and enhances project management and implementation.
• Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

What You’ll Do

Job Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with data visualization-based agencies to help them meet their business and technical needs.
• Assists Data Visualization/Business Intelligence team with dashboard development as needed.
• Collaborates with Data Science/Public Health Geographics, Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Surveillance, Outreach& Equity, and Data Governance teams within ODA.
• Promotes the utilization of technical services to resolve business issues within the enterprise, agency, program area, or division.
• Provides technical support on complex business intelligence projects and performs as a Subject Matter Expert in business or functional area.
• Assists with developing technical standards and policies to meet the needs of customers, peers, and management.
• Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.
• Participates in the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence steering committee as it relates to data governance and visualization best practices.
• May participate in strategic planning processes for ODA’s Data Visualization/Business Intelligence team.
• May serve as a project leader providing guidance, advice, supervision and/or training to other analysts.
