Business Development Manager (Dallas)

As a Business Development Manager specializing in outside sales, you’ll play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
Outside Sales Emphasis: Focus on engaging with customers in-person, conducting face-to-face meetings, and visiting client locations to understand their needs firsthand.
Account Management: Manage and nurture existing accounts through regular site visits, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross selling.
New Business Development: Proactively prospect and identify new sales opportunities in the premium countertop market. Conduct market research and attend industry events to expand our client base.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the outside sales environment, including route planning, territory management, and maximizing face-to-face interactions.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, designers, contractors, and other key stakeholders. Network effectively to generate leads and referrals.
Product Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our premium countertop product range during in-person meetings and presentations. Showcase product features, benefits, and advantages over competitors to persuade potential clients.
Requirements:
Outside or Territory Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in outside sales roles, preferably within the building materials, interior design, or construction industry.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and delivering compelling sales pitches.
Self-Motivation and Drive: A self-motivated and ambitious mindset is crucial for thriving in an outside sales role, where autonomy and initiative are key.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments, weather conditions, and client schedules while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Working Conditions:
- Extensive Local Travel: Regular travel within your designated territory to meet with clients, attend appointments, and participate in industry events.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends and overnight trips as needed to accommodate client meetings and events.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and withstand exposure to diverse weather conditions during travel.
- +3 years of successful sales or business development experience.
- Knowledge of building materials or interior design industry preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Excel.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Base salary ($80,000 - $90,000) plus quarterly bonus opportunities.
- Company car and gas card for outside sales positions.
