Summary

The role of the business development manager involves expanding our business with Costco and Trader Joe’s, focusing on our Dabecca, Wellshire, and Private Label brands. This presents an excellent chance to forge new partnerships through the cultivation of relationships. The business development manager will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy. Having experience with Costco and Trader Joe’s programs is crucial for the successful performance in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Optimize customer sales performance and profitable volume growth via distribution, new product platforms, trade promotion optimization using all available tools for each customer. (Trade, Marketing, Digital, etc.)
  • New Business Development and Pioneering: Identify new opportunities at accounts and develop strategies to maximize.
  • Customization and delivery of presentations to customers, using customer-specific data.
  • Create customer specific annualized trade & marketing channel specific strategies that allow LOF to compete at a high level in Alternate Channels.
  • Utilize internal relationships to influence sales strategy and course corrective measures necessary to deliver budgeted goals.
  • Solidify partnerships at Buyer's level and above.
  • Delivery of forecast accuracy targets.
  • Timely delivery of required reporting via scorecard.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior industry related business development experience.
  • Prior experience in sales with Costco required and Trader Joe’s preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to support data driven decision making.
  • Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI CPG data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies.
  • Focused and goal oriented.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% by car/plane for extended periods of time.
  • Preferred office location in Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, Boston or Atlanta.
