The Purple Brand, or “PURPLE” was founded in 2017 at the intersection of industrial design, streetwear, and luxury fashion. A group of friends and industry veterans set out to launch a collection of men’s denim and luxury basics. Since then, PURPLE has grown tremendously and is rapidly becoming a global lifestyle brand.


Your role:

We are thrilled to announce the opening of PURPLE’s inaugural retail store in Soho, New York and we are looking for an energetic and highly organized Assistant Store Manager to support our flagship location. As a leader within Purple Brand, the Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in collaborating with the Store Manager to elevate service standards and drive sales. They are committed to ensuring unparalleled customer satisfaction, empowering Retail Advisors to excel in sales, optimizing operational efficiency, and striving to meet and exceed KPIs.


The Assistant Store Manager will oversee the entire customer journey, staff training and development, setting a precedent for exemplary salesmanship on the shop floor, and upholding impeccable standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish a goal-oriented selling structure that focuses on relationship selling, building a client base and exceptional service.
  • Exemplify high performance and uphold behaviors consistent with Purple’s values and standards.
  • Monitor team members' performance, provide timely feedback, and collaborate with the Store Manager to address any challenges.
  • Foster a team environment providing a hands-on role in their development.
  • Provide comprehensive training for product launches.
  • Assist in implementing store marketing strategies, including events, social media initiatives, and visual merchandising.
  • Participate in performance reviews led by the Store Manager, offering input as necessary.
  • Coordinate and manage staff schedules in collaboration with the Store Manager.
  • Assist the Store Manager in payroll duties and the maintenance of employment-related records and files for team members.
  • Oversee store loss prevention, inventory control, and adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Support with reporting and administrative tasks related to management.


Qualifications:

  • 6 years of relevant experience in a management position in the retail industry
  • Passion for fashion, art and music
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume, high-profile luxury environment.
  • Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Efficient with Micro-soft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
