Pesto Studios, the production company behind chef and social media star Nick DiGiovanni, is looking to hire a full-time Assistant Editor. This role is dedicated to bolstering the production team’s efforts to produce captivating long-form content for Nick’s YouTube channel.


Location: This role is fully remote, but there's a possibility for hybrid work if the candidate is located in the Boston area.


Who we’re looking for


We are looking for an experienced, creative and resourceful Assistant Editor with a proven track record in video editing, specifically for long-form content on YouTube. You will be instrumental in transforming raw footage into compelling stories that resonate with Nick’s diverse audience, adhering to established concepts, scripts and brand guidelines.


You have a strong understanding of both the production process and post-production process. You follow social media trends and love all things pop culture. Bonus - you have a passion for food and working in the food space!


Who you’ll work with


As an Assistant Editor, you will directly support Nick DiGiovanni’s Lead Editor, contributing to the success and growth of the greater production team. You will also work closely with videographers, editors, producers and other stakeholders involved in our videos.


What you’ll bring to the team


  • 2+ years of experience in video editing
  • Expertise with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Deep understanding of creating engaging long-form content, including narrative structure, pacing, and audio & visual storytelling
  • Passion for pop culture and knowledge of the latest social media trends
  • Top-notch organizational skills and a strong ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and bring new creative ideas to the table
  • Bonus: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in fields related to film studies or video production
