Assistant Designer

Young men's streetwear company looking for Assistant Designer. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Looking for creative individual strong on trend and graphics experience a plus. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. 5 days in office.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior designers in conceptualizing and creating seasonal collections
• Research current fashion trends, fabrications, and color palettes to inform design direction.
• Should have experience with: hand sketching, illustrator, tech packs, CAD
• Create detailed technical sketches and CADs for new designs.
• Strong understanding of garment construction
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and sales
• Attend fittings and provide feedback on garment fit and construction.
• Assist in maintaining design libraries, including fabric swatches, trims, and samples.
• Support in preparing presentations and trend boards for design meetings and buyer presentations.
• Stay informed about industry developments and competitor activity to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong sketching and illustration skills.
• Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and production processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail.
