50% Travel in the DFW and surrounding areas.


Our client, a well-respected Fortune 500 in Dallas, is looking for an Area Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, excellent communication, and relationship-building skills, along with a passion for growth. This position is responsible for growing the customer base and identifying new markets for growth in DFW and surrounding areas by finding leads, negotiating deals, running economic models, developing proposals, and presenting and closing deals within financial metrics and targets.


Requirements:


  • 5-8 Years of Sales experience required in Consumer Product Goods (Client) retail, fuel, or c-store; experience is preferred.
  • Availability to travel (50%) within DFW and surrounding areas at least 3 days a week and be in the office for meetings 2 days a week. Occasional overnight travel is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience creating economic models and forecasts of customer anticipated volume/margin utilizing (Volume, Leverage, Coverage, EBITDA, IRR, and Client).
  • Experience creating and presenting proposals and offers for prospective accounts.
  • Experience establishing relationships with new business opportunities in existing and target growth markets.
  • Experience utilizing technology platforms: Salesforce, Right Angle, Concur, etc.
  • Experience preparing the annual budget and growth requirements for an assigned territory and frequently reporting sales activity and key performance metrics.


Responsibilities:


  • Establish relationships with new business opportunities in existing and target growth markets.
  • Effectively communicate growth strategy by market, by customer channel, and by terminal supply point .
  • Prepare detailed sales plans identifying the good, better, and best approaches for prospecting.
  • Determine prospect's needs and provide economical solutions for each, demonstrating value and satisfying the prospect while achieving sales goals and company financial objectives.
  • Operate within Salesforce to create and maintain a strong sales pipeline with detailed prospect information. Move opportunities through each phase of the sales funnel, effectively securing new business .
  • Clearly articulates ongoing activity with leads, opportunities, proposals made/accepted/rejected, and anticipated closings. Keeps management apprised of competitive initiatives and challenges.
  • Transition new accounts to Area Account Manager to complete onboarding and account management functions .
  • Obtain customer financials to process their credit application via Salesforce.
  • Creates economic model to provide a projection of customer anticipated volume/margin utilizing our contract criteria: EBITDA, IRR, Client, Volume, Leverage, and Coverage.
  • Act as a business consultant with a credible source of industry and market knowledge to customers .
  • Create and present a professional proposal/offer for prospective accounts. Work with Supply/Trading/Operations to develop and execute contracts/agreements .
