The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive annual giving program designed to broaden the organization’s donor base and increase overall participation and financial support.

The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive annual giving program designed to broaden the organization’s donor base and increase overall participation and financial support.
Your contribution will be
- Developing and implementing a strategic plan for the annual giving program that includes goals, objectives and timelines
- Identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors for annual gifts
- Managing the production and distribution of annual giving solicitation materials, including direct mail, email and social media campaigns
- Monitoring and evaluating the success of the annual giving program and making adjustments as necessary
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with donors, including acknowledging gifts and keeping donors informed about the impact of their support
- Managing a budget for the annual giving program and ensuring that expenses are in line with revenue
- Overseeing monthly giving program and identifying areas for growth and upgrading
- Coordinating direct mail program by conceptualizing, drafting, and publishing monthly or bi-monthly direct mail appeals and donor stewardship pieces in coordination with FOUR PAWS colleagues and external partners, maintaining a timely production schedule
- Collaborating with international colleagues on direct mail best practices and facilitating integration with US direct mail program; maintaining ongoing knowledge of direct mail best practices and making regular recommendations for donor acquisition and growth, content testing and analytics
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising or communications
- Experience at Animal Welfare organization(s) is highly desirable
- Proficient understanding of best practices in fundraising and donor outreach and communications, with a knack for storytelling and fundraising appeal writing
- Donor-facing or customer-facing experience; high level of comfort speaking professionally with donors, stakeholders, and external partners by phone, email, in-person
- Strong project management and organizational skills and understanding of data analytics
- Microsoft Excel experience required
- Salesforce or other CRM database experience strongly preferred
