T2S Solutions currently has an opening for an Android/Linux Kernel Developer to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Android Kernel development, but candidates with relevant Linux based OS Kernel development should also apply. We are looking for a motivated self starter who is both capable of working independently and in a team environment. Ability to interpret ambiguous requirements, think critically, challenge the status quo, a desire to seek out new challenges and continuously learn are needed to thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
Design and implement kernel-level features and device drivers for Linux-based systems
Modify existing Kernels and create custom Kernels for existing hardware
Ability to work in both a team environment and independently, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment
Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues related to kernel and Android framework
Contribute to architectural decisions and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and hardware systems
Qualifications
Bachelors in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 3-5+ years of relevant experience
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one is required
Experience with DevOps tools (Gitlab, Jira, Nexus, Artifactory, etc.)
Experience with Git version control
In-depth knowledge and hands on Kernel Development experience
Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, JavaScript, etc.
Preferred
Development experience with Android and Java
Experience working in an Agile environment
Full Stack development experience
