Analytical Research Scientist
Location: Rhode Island
Salary: $90,000- 110,000 + benefits
A CRO specializing in drug discovery, development and analytical services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries is looking to add a Research Scientist to their Analytical Department within CMC. This CRO offers a wide range of services to support the research and development of new drugs. As an analytical research scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting- edge projects and collaborate with industry experts to bring new therapies to the market.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop analytical methods for the characterization of drug substances and drug products.
- Conduct method validation studies in accordance to regulatory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Lead and perform testing of raw materials and in process samples with minimal guidance.
- Participate in method transfer and method validation activities.
- Collaborating with team members along with cross functional departments in CMC R&D.
- Operating analytical instrumentation within procedures.
- Using a range of scientific methods to investigate the composition of substance.
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with 2+ years or industry experience OR Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience.
- Experience in Analytical Development with a primary focus on small molecules.
- Ability to work cross functionally with other departments in R&D.
- Strong Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines related to method validation
- Exceptional collaborative and communicative skills.
