Job Purpose

The ADAS Software Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, conducting and reviewing testing activities to ensure the correct operation of the ADAS ECUs.

(80s of the Position)

  • Plan, Develop and execute test cases for ADAS ECUs on HILs, Labcar and test vehicles.
  • Specify and plan installation of test equipment and facilities.
  • Develop scripts to automate the Hardware in the Loop test systems using python.
  • Verify all ADAS related features and functions before software is deployed to customer vehicles.
  • Specify, implement and validate sensor models for Camera, Radar, Ultrasonic, Lidar.
  • Create Test to requirements coverage matrix for ADAS features.
  • Automation of test cases and test environment to achieve “lights out” testing.
  • Support debug of software issues at HIL bench and Labcar.
  • Support labcar tests such as CAN conformance tests.
  • Find software bugs through manual testing, automated scripting and report investigation.

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Software engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with IPG Carmaker: testing perception, path planning, sensor fusion.
  • Experience with HIL tools such as Dspace/NI/Tracetronic ECUTEST/vector CANoe.
  • Experience in modelling in Matlab/Simulink.
  • Capable of carrying out wiring/debugging HIL issues.
  • Understanding of version control software ( SVN, GIT, etc )
  • Experience working in Polarion and JIRA.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of UDS ISO14229, debugging of vehicle buses: CAN/LIN/Ethernet.
  • Development and/or testing of features such as blind spot monitoring, auto-pilot, parking features.
  • Vehicle dynamics modelling experience.
  • OEM driving license/test track certifications.
