What We Do 🪵

Our mission is to empower building materials suppliers with great technology. There are over $1,000,000,000,000 of building materials bought in the US every year, and many of these transactions happen in on-prem point-of-sale systems. We want to bring these transactions online, enabling better experiences for contractors and homeowners alike.

This Role

What You'll Achieve With Us 🥇

You'll be on the ground floor of a high-growth company:

  • You'll operate out of either the Chicago, Detroit, or Indianapolis area and lead the entire sales process in your region from lead generation to closing. This process is primarily outbound and outside. Adam, Clara, Kyle, and Matt currently do this role in other regions.
  • You'll earn a $56K - $68K base salary as well as commission for a total of $146K - $158K on-target earnings (OTE). In addition, as part of your total compensation, you will receive a generous equity package.

Requirements ✅

  • You're excited to close deals and carry a quota.
  • You plan to live in your territory for at least the next year - through July 2025.
  • You have a U.S. drivers license.
  • You're excited to travel in your region ~75% of the time - food, lodging, and travel expenses covered by Rundoo.
  • You love building strong relationships.

  • You have experience in sales - especially hunting new business and closing.
  • You love friendly competition.
  • You have familiarity with construction and building materials.

Interview process

  • Intro Call (20 min): Simply for us to get to know one another!
  • Meet the team (2.5 hours total including 15 min breaks in b/w): A remote interview focused on quick learning:
    • Top-of-funnel (30 min): Booking prospect visits with Matt.
    • Demoing (30 min): Learn the product and demo it with Joe.
    • Negotiating (30 min): Mock contract negotiations with Kyle.
    • Culture (15 min): Discussing examples of hard work and learning with Clara.
  • Chat with Nick (30 min): Discussing your experience and goals with Nick.

  • Kyle (Territory Account Executive): Studied Anthropology and History at UNCW; Has been a seller for companies big and small, mostly in the Software space. Is self-taught in catching snakes barehanded🐍

  • Lej (Implementation) working directly in the field of software for the last three years helping entrepreneurs and start-ups alike. Aspires to create a smart home environment similar to the one depicted in the 1999 Disney movie "Smart House."🎮
  • Matt (Territory Account Executive): studied history at Northwestern; taught middle school in Chicago (hardest job ever), more recently worked in sales and general management at a fishing tackle company (Catch Co.); former competitive angler in college (bass fishing 🎣)
  • Max (Product Manager): studied neuroscience at Dartmouth; worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and as a PM for RabbitHole; has broken his neck exactly one time (and coincidentally has tried parkour exactly one time 🤸‍♀️)
  • Nick (CEO): studied math & computer science at Stanford; worked as a trader at Bridgewater & Citadel and as a PM at Google & Enigma; distantly related to the founder of the Hershey company 🍫
    • YB (Nick's Belgian Malinois): *looking longingly at Luna* 🐕
  • Santiago (Engineering): studied computer engineering at University of Waterloo; worked as SWE intern at The Cooperators, Inflight, BitBakery, Replicant; played lots of soccer, loves rap and r&b 🎧
  • Tyler (Client Success): studied general education and tech at Cabrillo College; worked as a system administrator for a short time and at a paint store (Kings paint!!!) for eight years, manager for two; likes to play most video games, currently playing Diablo 4. 🕹
  • Umer (Engineering): studied computer science at National University of Singapore; worked as a SWE intern at Visa and an NLP chatbot startup; has an identical twin! 👯‍♂️
