“Prior to Jim assuming the role of Technical Director at Minisoft, assignments and directions would come from multiple sources, leading to conflicting priorities and frustrations as a software engineer. Stepping into this leadership role, Jim provided a single source of direction to his direct reports, and I could always count on him to provide encouragement and firm yet gentle direction. He even helped me with my projects as he was able, while at the same time juggling his management duties and his own projects! Jim led a weekly meeting for the technical staff, building a sense of teamwork and shared purpose. He also stepped up and led IT initiatives which were clearly outside his responsibility, showing ownership. I would welcome the chance to work with Jim again.”
