Public groups allow anyone on or off LinkedIn to view what members post and share in the group. Non-group members can interact with the public group’s content using reactions but can’t add comments or create new posts. Public group posts are visible, for example, in the group’s homepage, on the feed, or in a message.

To see the full list of members in a group, LinkedIn members must become a member of that group. Please note that LinkedIn members can see whether a connection is a member of a public group.

Public groups are listed, which means they can appear in search results on LinkedIn and the group is visible to other members on your LinkedIn profile under Interests. In general, to see if a group is listed or unlisted, click on the listed or unlisted label. You can change whether a group shows on your profile from the Group settings page.

Admins can still moderate the group and control membership.
