Remove or Block a Group Member (Group Management)

Last updated: 2 years ago
Group owners can remove or block members, managers, and other owners from the group. Group managers can remove or block group members, not owners or managers. Group members can’t block anyone in the group but can reach out to group owners and managers to request blocking or removing a group member.
Blocked members won’t be able to view the group homepage, access the group content, or interact within the group. Removed members can still access the Group homepage and request to join the group again.
Removing or blocking a member from a group is only effective within the group and doesn’t block or remove the connection between the blocked member and the group owner or manager.
Remove or block a member:
  1. Access the Groups homepage.
  2. Select the applicable group from the list.
  3. Click Manage group on the top left rail.
  4. From the Members section, locate the member you want to remove and/or block.
  5. Click the More icon next to the member’s name.
  6. Click either Remove from group or Block from group.
  7. Click Confirm.
You can also block a member directly from a post or comment made by the group member:
  1. Access the Group homepage.
  2. Select the applicable group from the list.
  3. Locate the post or comment made by the group member.
  4. Click the More icon next to the comment.
  5. Select Block (name) from the group.
  6. In the pop-up that appears, click Block.
