Sort feed by Most Relevant and Most Recent posts

The feed is set to Most Relevant posts, by default, to show the relevant personalized posts. You can change the preferred feed view:

  • Most Relevant posts – You will see posts that match your interests and activity.
  • Most Recent posts – You will see the most recent posts first and only from people whom you follow. Your interests and activity data will not be used to sort the feed or make any recommendations.
To change your feed view:

  1. Click the Dropdown icon next to Select content below the share box on your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Click Most Recent posts from the dropdown to switch to chronological feed view.

  3. Scroll down your feed to view all the posts based on your selection.

    Notes:

    • To switch to a different feed view, you can click the Switch to most relevant posts button at the end of the feed.
    • Your feed will default back to the Most Relevant posts setting if you navigate to another browser tab after five minutes of inactivity on the homepage.

To make your feed view preference permanent:

  1. Click the  Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Select Settings & Privacy from the dropdown. The Account preferences page appears by default.

  3. Click Feed preferences under General preferences.

  4. Select your preferred permanent feed view from the Feed Preferences page. The change is saved automatically.

    Notes:

    If Most Recent posts is set as your preferred permanent feed view:

    • You will see the most recent updates from your network when you are using an EU IP address.
    • You will see the top relevant updates in your feed sorted by reverse chronological order when you are not using an EU IP address.

Notes:

  • After the feed view preference is made permanent from the Settings page, your feed will always show the selected feed view.
  • Your ad personalization preferences are not affected by changes to the Feed Preferences setting. To control your ad personalization preferences, go to your Advertising preferences setting.
  • If you are located in the European Economic Area and in the Most Recent feed view, you will see all updates from your network in reverse chronological order.
  • If you are located outside of the European Economic Area and in the Most Recent feed view, you will see the updates most relevant to you in reverse chronological order.
