We are honored and grateful to be bringing home such big CAPBA wins. Our whole CoastTV news crew works tirelessly on and off-camera to bring quality news content to the coast. Teamwork makes the dream work!
For this year’s CAPBA awards CoastTV won seven as a station, including News Operation of the Year! I received second place for Outstanding Coverage of a Continuing, Outstanding News Series, Best Television Photography and Best Multimedia Journalist. I’m extremely grateful to be apart of this prestigious event and couldn’t have done it without my wonderful team! A big shoutout to CoastTV’s sister stations WBOC and DSN on their several awards as well! #localnews #capba #newsoperationoftheyear #awardwinning #nomination Madeleine Overturf Paul Williams

Take a look from above at storm damage in Ocean City that neighbors described as "crazy!"
The start of Memorial Day Weekend was full of debris for some Ocean City condo owners. Our CoastTV team worked together to get chopper footage, on-the-ground interviews, and meteorological information quickly for our viewers.

We are so grateful to have Mallory Metzner on our team! Check out her appearance at Career Day.
I love the career I have chosen and I love sharing my experiences with those who want to learn about it! Today I got to talk to middle school students about everything I do from finding and writing stories to making connections and meeting new people in the community. Every day is an adventure and no day working in news looks the same.

Have you seen any "ghost forests" near you? Meteorologist Alex Seymore did a deeper dive into this phenomenon.
Continuing on with stories of climate changes impact on Delmarva, I was able to talk about “ghost forests” that have formed from the impacts of saltwater intrusion. An added bonus is a local event that will allow the general public get in on the discussion of climate changes impacts that are already affecting our local communities. https://lnkd.in/ePm8Hx6E

A big shout out to our photographer Ted Corriero, who went out and got all the footage and sound for this package. I always love stories where someone is overcoming an obstacle on the way to bettering themselves.

Health officials in Delaware are reporting a spike in "unusual" and severe overdoses. We broke down today's press briefing on CoastTV at 6 p.m. I covered the state agency response. https://lnkd.in/ghYA_Rkc
