#WorldFuel Sustainable Fuel Advisor, Tom Cahill alongside other aviation industry leaders updated an #EBACE2024 audience on the latest developments on Sustainable Aviation Fuel last week in Geneva. Moderated by #NBAA's Stewart D'Leon, highlights from the conversation included: - European SAF demand is set to significantly increase from 1 January 2025, driven mainly by stronger policy incentives (mandates, ETS, subsidies, CSRD). - Supply is increasing to match, with several new refineries opening this year. - Third-party certification from International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and others is key for protecting the integrity of the SAF supply chain. - Deeper collaboration with governments is needed to help harmonize complicated compliance requirements across different EU Member States and elsewhere, allowing our customers to be clearer on the costs and benefits of SAF. For more information, contact #WorldFuel. We are fully ISCC-certified across all European airports where we supply Sustainable Aviation Fuel. #sustainableaviationfuel #LCFS #carbonneutral #renewablediesel

World Fuel is committed to fostering collaboration to drive development and sustainability throughout the marine industry, and this appointment further emphasizes our commitment. “We believe the cultivation of collaboration among industry players is central to navigating the path to a high-quality fuel market, and a greener shipping industry. Knowledge can be proactively shared, thereby promoting best practices in not only bunker fuel operations, but also energy and emissions management,” says John Stirling. After entering the Jamaican market in 2023, World Fuel is further strengthening its position in the Kingston #bunkerfuel landscape by increasing its operational capacity with a larger bunker tanker. The JC Trader, a 2010 #bunkertanker, will double the current service capacity to help increase World Fuel's presence in the area and better meet customer demands for quality and timely service within Jamaica. Scott Petroleum Limited will keep providing on-the-ground logistics and operational support with a strong knowledge of the local market. The available grades are VLSFO 0.5%, LSMGO 0.1%, and HSFO 3.5% upon request, with options to service Kingston's inner and outer anchorage. #Bunkering #MarineFuel #BunkeringIndustry
