Our annual Nuclear Fuel Symposium has wrapped up following a second day of discussing the latest technology and supply strategies, experiences at various types of reactors and new plant fuel needs. For the past two days, we engaged with #NuclearEnergy leaders from utilities around the world, including Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Japan, South Korea, Slovenia, Sweden and the United States. Thanks again to everyone who took the trip to Charleston, South Carolina. We're excited to fuel the next chapter in nuclear power together!

Nuclear energy leaders from utilities around the world toured Westinghouse’s Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in South Carolina today on the first day of our annual Nuclear Fuel Symposium. The Columbia site manufactures the nuclear fuel used to produce about 10% of all electricity in the United States. The up-close look at our manufacturing, engineering and testing capabilities kicked off the two-day event exploring new technologies and opportunities in the nuclear fuel industry. Some of these goals in our recently released 2023 Sustainability Report include: - Equal pay, leadership and opportunities for women in the clean energy sector by 2030 in alignment with the principles of "Equal by 30" - Decreasing the Total Recordable Injury Rate by 35% from 2019 to 2024 (✅ We achieved this 5-year decrease one year early in 2023.)
