How can you know where you want to go if you can't figure out who you are? We created Wayfinder to help all young people find their way. Our PreK-12 curriculum helps students develop future-ready skills, a sense of belonging at school, and the ability to navigate the future with purpose. With beautifully designed lesson materials, we make it easy for teachers to prepare for any lesson in five minutes or less. “I’ve been teaching a really long time, and this is one of the few times my mind has been blown.” Learn what's possible with Wayfinder: https://wfndr.co/495pGCI #curriculum #futurereadyskills #21stcenturyskills

Beyond SEL: Build purpose + belonging for future-ready students.
About us
Wayfinder was born at the Stanford d.school after asking one key design question: How can we reimagine education to develop a student’s sense of meaning, purpose, and belonging? Our K-12 curriculum and products support students in developing belonging + purpose by meaningfully connecting with their inner selves, their local communities, and the wider world.

“Anchored in the Polynesian tradition of wayfinding, Wayfinder helps teachers and students navigate both their inner and outer lives through an elegantly designed, research-based portfolio of curriculum, activities, and assessments that are simply the best I have ever encountered. While Polynesian wayfinding involves navigating by stars and observing birds, ocean swells and wind patterns, Wayfinder helps students find meaning and purpose through experiences that help them navigate and observe their own emotions and skills. In a world where students are losing the ability to focus on what matters most, Wayfinder enables them to become apprentices and 'navigators' on the road of life. By encompassing college and career readiness and asking who they want to be in the world, it helps them learn a new GPS system—call it an inner Waze—that supports them to hone in on their own North Stars. The Wayfinder tools equip them with mindsets, maps, durable character development, practical skills, and a new language through which to better understand what’s happening on the inside as their compass points the way forward.” –John Gasko, Ph.D. Chief Social and Emotional Learning Officer, Uplift Education Read the full review of our high school curriculum: https://wfndr.co/4bKLUeE

Advice from our board member, Monica Enand: “I always spend a few minutes thinking about both the upside and the downside of any risk. I do that to make sure that if there is upside and the downside is small, I push myself. Being aware that your brain is trying to protect you from doing new things and knowing when you need to override that initial feeling is very important.”
For this month's executive leadership conversation, I'm proud to share with you the insights of my friend Monica Enand. She serves on the boards of NW Natural and Wayfinder and previously chaired the board at Auth0, which became part of Okta in 2021. Until last year she was the CEO of Zapproved, which she founded and is now part of Exterro. On the nonprofit side, she was on the board of the Technology Association of Oregon for nearly 10 years and just marked her first anniversary on the board of The Oregon Community Foundation. I know you’ll appreciate hearing her thoughts from our conversation. #leadership #innovation #entrepreneurship

Our partners at Cambridgeport Elementary in Massachusetts noticed a gap in student belonging and school community before using Wayfinder. Fast forward to one year in, and students are feeling more connected than ever. Educators are supported with content to engage students, and the community is noticing stronger skill sets in crucial future-ready skills like self-awareness, collaboration, and agency. Hear directly from elementary schoolers in this new video and find out why their Wayfinder workbooks are “kind of like a giant zoo.” 💚
