    NOBODY cares This is the # 1 thing that helped me overcome my fear of public speaking.  Even if I SUCK, nobody's going to remember. People are too caught up with their own stuff. I'm not that important.  How freeing is that? Here're 3 additional things that help: 1. Prepare like crazy  I record myself and listen to it over and over again 2. Obsess about value I do the absolute best I can to provide REAL VALUE   3. Remember IT'S OK to be nervous We recently recorded a podcast, and although ~10 years had passed since my first talk at eTail west, I was nervous all over again. Thanks Ronak ShahAshvin Melwani and the Chewonthis DTC team for bearing with me! The skill of public speaking was a game changer for me.  If you have value to provide - just do it.  NOBODY cares, in a good way :)

    (Sorry data folks) So many teams fail at CRO due to a surprising misunderstanding... "It is not unscientific to take a guess, although many people who are not in science believe that it is"  R. Feynman, a Nobel prize winning physicist *Data is important, but it's not everything* Here're some examples for "dead end" analysis when working on new ideas for tests: 1. GA is telling you that your PDPs conversion rate is 18.5% <So?> 2. Heatmaps are telling you that 89% of revenue on the PDP is generated from clicks on the "Add to cart" <Duh - on mobile, PDP content is mainly being scanned/read and there’s obviously no hover data like you’d have on desktop> 3. Trying to find which content will help your users convert better in a GA report <Most of the time, it can't!> *Stop*  Being afraid to take a guess when it comes to A/B testing! *Start* Taking inspiration for tests from competitors research, user recordings, customer success, mobile games, Netflix and more (you can also leverage Visually's inspiration gallery) Now that you can launch A/B tests in minutes (here's a video demonstrating how) - don't let ideation get in the way of your growth *** You SHOULD ALWAYS USE DATA to prioritize your backlog and analyze running tests #shopify

    I’m a simple man. I love coupon codes. But there’s nothing more annoying when a brand send you a coupon code via email/sms and expects you remember it by the time you get to checkout. I mean.. I can’t remember my own cell number. This obviously pushed me out without making a purchase.     On Shopify and sending Meta/Google Ads traffic to landing pages?  There's 90%+ chance you're decreasing your CR - Here's why _____ <User: Sees an ad that promises to improve her SLEEP, clicks on the ad and arrives to a landing page> Brand: "Hi! here's information on how we help with that + an exclusive offer> <User: Interested> Brand: "Just CLICK and BUY" <User: In an attempt to gain trust she clicks on the logo and navigates to the homepage> Brand: "Hi NEW user which WE NEVER seen before - how about something to boost your ENERGY?" 🤷🏻♀️ <User: Trying to find the information and promotion that caught her eye> <User: Gets a push from tiktok and leaves> ____ *Wait what?  Did you just actively push her away by not providing a cohesive experience? *Don't Send your users to disconnected landing pages and forget about the rest of their funnel (Users are not bots; they don't go through the experience linearly and buy) *Instead - Adapt your "post landing page" funnel to the users landing page  OR  - Think about your entire funnel as a landing page, and adjust every step of the funnel to the users needs/pain points (A/B testing is a good way to decide on the best approach) - Regardless, use PERSISTENT promotional offers - If you're offering a promotion in your ad, make sure this offer is prominently displayed throughout the funnel Adding a video demonstrating how to set this up with Visually (takes 2-3 minutes) Of course we’re integrated to Meta, Klaviyo, Yotpo, Attentive and support UTMs! ___ We love helping DTC brands increase their CR and AOV with the next-gen CRO platform for Shopify *PM me if you're a DTC brand  OR *Tag a brand you think we should work with OR  *Spread the word for good karma :) #shopify #cro #abtesting
