When other organizations can't or won't take people in, we do.

About us

Victory Programs has helped individuals and families in crisis for over 45 years. Thousands turn to us yearly for shelter, sustenance, recovery, care, and professional, compassionate support. Most struggle with substance use and mental health, and many live with HIV/AIDS. When other organizations will not or cannot take them in, we do. At Victory Programs, we don’t judge. Employing a harm-reduction model that uses facilitative rather than coercive methods, we meet people where they are with individualized services that focus on their strengths and support them in making life-sustaining decisions. Our team of more than 200 staff across 19 programs works with people to develop and execute creative, safe solutions to the very real challenges they face. Victory Programs has programs located in several Boston neighborhoods. With a passionate team, competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package, Victory Programs is a great place to work! This past Saturday, a group of donors and staff participated in a guided tour that encompassed the Jamaica Plain Peer Recovery Center for people in recovery, a low-threshold shelter for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, a supportive permanent housing site and a beautiful recovery home for LGBTQ+ individuals and women in the early stages of recovery. "There’s just no substitute for seeing the programs and it was good to see programs for folks at different stages from shelter to permanent housing. Also, all the VPI program managers and Tammy were so impressive" - Lynn Weissberg, Victory Programs Board Member. If you are interested in learning more, gaining a closer look into the impact of your support, and arranging a personal tour of any of our programs and housing sites, don't hesitate to reach out to the development team at [email protected]. Make a gift today to ensure more individuals and families facing homelessness, substance use, and trauma receive compassionate support and a safe place to call home https://lnkd.in/eF4zVNWh

A few weeks ago, 50+ passionate individuals part of the ProjectABLE coalition joined together at the State House to advocate for vital funding restoration. The event was an incredible opportunity to stand up for what’s right and ensure critical services remain accessible to those in need across our state. Together, we’re making a difference in the lives of countless individuals. For those who might’ve missed it, Governor Healey proposed a $5.6 million cut to the HIV, Infectious Disease, and Harm Reduction line item (DPH4512-0103) in the state budget. This line item funds essential services across the Commonwealth, and our collective efforts as part of the ProjectABLE Coalition aim to persuade the legislature to restore that funding for FY25. Thank you to all who attended and spent the day making sure our voices were heard! And we thank everyone who took the time to listen. Your support means everything to us. We must continue to advocate for the underserved and work towards a brighter, more equitable future. 🌟 Click this link to learn more about how this funding cut will affect those living with HIV and infectious diseases: https://lnkd.in/e25PueSK Click this link to find your legislator and ask they restore the cut and fund the #HIV, Hep C, and #HarmReduction line item (DPH4512-0103) at level funding of $35 million: https://lnkd.in/eDJhQuG

Last week, VPI's Boston Living Center Program Director, Alyssa Collaro, took part in Broadway Cares' webinar series, Our Support in Action. This virtual conversation focused on congregate meal programs - something the BLC knows a thing or two about! It was an incredibly powerful and informative session and we are so honored to have had the chance to share the story of the BLC and the importance of congregate meals. Thank you to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for this opportunity!
