    When shifting threats arise, the Port Security Unit (PSU) is ready and able to decisively defeat those threats wherever the battlefield. ⚓️🇺🇸💪🌎 ️ PSUs are Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) organized for sustained expeditionary security and anti-terrorism. Their primary mission is Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP), which includes anti-piracy, port security, protection of High Value Assets (HVAs), expeditionary security, amphibious military operations, coastal surveillance and more. PSUs are allowed to conduct OCONUS (Outside of Continental United States) missions and can deploy anywhere in the world within 96 hours. *#DYK: PSUs are actually a part of the Coast Guard Reserves 🫡 Serve in this elite unit and others in the USCG - gocoastguard.com 🇺🇸⚓️

    DoD SkillBridge Internship Opportunity: Electronics Technician (Cyber) IN-PERSON U.S. Coast Guard Tech(USCG) D5 C5I Service Center IMPORTANT NOTE: This opportunity is only open to SkillBridge participants on active duty who are at least 13 months from separation. LOCATION: 5320 Greenbrook Dr, Portsmouth VA 23703 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Intern will primarily be conducting project management duties. They will provide technical support to customers who need assistance utilizing client-level hardware and software in accordance with established or approved organizational process components (i.e. Master Incident Management Plan, when applicable). You will perform the following Duties: - Collect, process, and disseminate information on the marine operating environment and maritime vessel traffic in major U.S. Ports and waterways. - Manage projects that include Voice Communication System, Remote Site(s) --- Relocation and VHF communications. - Troubleshoot system hardware and software. - Analyze incident data for emerging trends. - Develop and deliver technical training to educate others or meet customer needs. - Diagnose and resolve customer-reported system incidents, problems, and events. - Develop a trend analysis and impact report. - Completing contract project of upgrading workstations to Windows 11.
