Happy #FlagDay, America! Today, we honor our nation's symbol of unity, freedom, and resilience. Why do we celebrate Flag Day? On June 14th, 1777, the Second Continental Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes as our official flag, representing the ideals of liberty and justice for all. Since then, it has stood as a beacon of hope and inspiration, rallying Americans in times of triumph and adversity. 🌟 📷: An original 38-star American flag from 1876 in the Borderlands of Southern Colorado exhibit at El Pueblo History Museum.

One example of this is BLACK CAUCUS OF THE AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION and its partners, University of Michigan, and The Public Library Association’s landscape analysis and national survey of Black History Month programming in American public libraries to inform the development of a Public Library Black History Month toolkit and resources.
