Butterflies on the walls AND in the garden! When we heard that Piedmont Ave. Elementary students were studying insect pollinators in science, we made sure that colorful butterfly murals covered the walls of their new schoolyard and pollinator-friendly native plants filled their new garden space. Students will also enjoy two multi-sport courts, a new kid-designed play structure, two outdoor classroom spaces (with 14 new trees!), ground art and games, and a Little Town Library. Thank you to our incredible partners KABOOM! and Oakland Unified School District, the continued and generous support of Workday and Kaiser Permanente, the talented Piedmont Ave. Elementary community (who treated us to multiple student performances!), and our entire community of volunteers and supporters, including Lineage, Rakuten, Ripple, Curry Brand (an Under Armour brand), William G.
