We are proud of the robust internship program we created this summer. We have five interns sitting at three of our sites, and they are working on a wide variety of projects for the company — everything from safety and engineering to HR and accounting. This week, we were excited to host the interns and several HR team members at our Pacific, Missouri plant. Mining operations have been conducted at this location since the early 1900s, and material from this plant was used to build the famous Route 66, which runs alongside the plant. #ussilica #industrialminerals #oilandgas #advancedmaterials #sand

We really enjoyed seeing everyone at the American Coatings Show last week, and it was a terrific show all around. Some highlights: • We held in-booth demos of Everwhite® Pigment (EWP) successfully replacing TiO2 in coatings, inks, and plastic applications; • We collaborated with customers on over a dozen new projects for coatings enhancements with EWP, ground silica, and diatomaceous earth; and • Mason Borlik, VP of Products & Innovation, presented U.S. Silica’s vision for TiO2 independence in the coatings industry and beyond through the use of EWP. Because they just completed the inaugural, weeklong SandBox Forklift Operator Training at our SandBox South Texas location, led by Director of Field Operations Chris Witting. It’s a comprehensive refresher course for seasoned operators and a requirement for all new hires. This training is a great example of our team exemplifying our Core Value of Safety: We ensure the safety of our people and the environment.
