TRIUMPH Yakima APS partnered with Camp Prime Time for a volunteering event of the Annual Spring Cleaning and Opening of Camp Prime Time. Camp Prime Time – A Special Place for Special People Since 1986, Camp Prime Time has served families with a seriously/terminally ill or developmentally disabled child(ren) in the Cascade Mountains just west of Naches, Washington. It provides a camping experience in the great outdoors where families can enjoy themselves in a supportive atmosphere at no cost to the family. Volunteers and donors serve as the core of camp operations, development, and funding activities. On Monday, May 20th, Triumph employees kicked off FY25 right by completing several projects including helping with cabin maintenance, trail clearing, and creating fire breaks. Inventory and set up the store/office, clean the lodge, seal the outside lodge beams, and work on the water trail and storage area.

TRIUMPH Group Foundation has donated to Triumph Treatment Services in Yakima, a treatment and rehabilitation facility. Our donation will go directly into remodeling some of the dormitories used at the James Oldham Treatment Center (JOTC) in a neighboring city and will greatly improve patients’ quality of life and care. TRIUMPH recognizes the impact of the fentanyl crisis in America and the impact it can have on our TRIUMPH Family.   The donation was sponsored by Andrew Wonacott the MRO Business Leader in Yakima who unfortunately lost two of his sons William & James to fentanyl related overdose within 18 months of each other. When this occurred Andy knew something had to be done so he reached out to his Congressman Dan Newhouse, who after hearing the story later sponsored a bill honoring William and James (William and James Wonacott Act of 2023) which enhances penalties for those who sell, give, or distribute any substance that contains two milligrams or more of illicit fentanyl or fentanyl-related substances to another person without their knowledge.   Rep. Newhouse and Andy knew this would not be enough to fully address this crisis, so Rep Newhouse created the Central WA Fentanyl Task Force, pulling together local community leaders and members to directly address the crisis in our area.
