As we embark on Pride Month, we are reminded of the importance of celebrating and championing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our lives. 🌟 Project Spotlight!! 🌟   Last week the Pennsy Trail pedestrian bridge was officially set in place.   Located in Haverford Township, Delaware County, PA, the project involves the installation of a 10’ wide asphalt shared-use trail along the former railroad bed, installation of a steel truss bridge over Manoa Road, installation of several retaining walls, a stormwater management basin, ADA improvements, planter walls and protective fencing. Haverford Township also has plans to install benches, waste receptacles and native plantings along the trailway.   The installation of a Redi-Rock retaining wall helped to extend the trail approximately 300 LF beyond W. Langhorne Avenue to connect with Vernon Road, where ADA accessible parking will be installed.   Exciting to say the least! 🌟 Project Spotlight!! 🌟   This week we are highlighting our Kennett Safer Active Transportation Project in District 6, Chester County, PA.   TPD is providing construction inspection services for the construction of pedestrian safety improvements including bike lane sharrows, widened sidewalks, new curbline, updated ADA ramps, and various other improvement items. The project improves pedestrian access in several locations - spanning from the southern limits of the Borough at West South and Broad Streets, extending to the northern limits along N.
