Caroline Merheb wins at AgriVoltaics World Conference 2024 for Innovative Urban Agrivoltaic Design! Her research at the Temple Field Station at Ambler's campus focuses on enhancing access to fresh food in low-income areas, reducing urban heat islands, and beautifying communities. We are proud of Caroline for bringing this prestigious award home for Temple University and CST. The AgriVoltaics World Conference, now in its fifth year and hosted for the first time in the US by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Denver, brings together the global community to advance food-energy-water resilience. After my freshman year, I had my doubts about making it to the Dean's List. Every semester, there seemed to be that one course where a B grade kept my GPA just shy of the threshold. But this Spring 2024, I am thrilled to share that I've achieved this goal at the Temple University College of Science and Technology! Hailing from Bengaluru, India, Dhruv N Vajipayajula excelled in research, earning prestigious recognitions like the Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship. He presented at conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, showcasing his dedication to advancing scientific knowledge. “Temple provided incredible social and educational opportunities,” says Dhruv. “The professors and friends I made here truly made it feel like home.” His passion for solving problems and helping people inspired him to pursue an MD/PhD at Tufts University.
