As we approach Father's Day this Sunday, we’re highlighting a dynamic duo from Florida: our Tampa Community Sales Manager, Peter Sanvidge, and his dad and fellow Community Sales Manager, David Sanvidge. As a teenager, Peter remembers his visits to Esplanade Golf and Country, where his dad worked as a Community Sales Manager. It was there, Peter received an early introduction to our ‘Love the Customer’ philosophy, witnessing his dad roll out the red carpet for his buyers. And on a deeper level, always making sure they were cared for. Last week marked a heartwarming beginning as we welcomed the first patients into our new community of homes—donated to those undergoing treatment at Banner Health's MD Anderson Cancer Center. This community is designed to provide temporary housing and financial assistance to patients who travel to receive care in Gilbert, AZ. Located within walking distance of the cancer center, these homes eliminate the need for travel and hotel expenses, housing 80 patients and their families each year. Our newly acquired Indianapolis Division recently sponsored a local golf outing to raise money for the Sheperd Community Center. The center provides a variety of programs to fight generational poverty while building life-long relationships with community members in need. We’re excited to share that our Indy Senior Architectural Coordinator, Amy Partridge, will be inducted into the Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame for her decorated swimming career. With the Caitlin Clark Effect sweeping the globe this spring and Simone Biles seen as an influential advocate for mental health in the athletics space, Amy says she’s grateful the world is coming to where it is. “I hope this helps shine a light on young female athletes in showing that there is an appreciation for them.” When asked to describe her passion for swimming, “The weightlessness is a unique feeling. Flips, twists and turns… It’s like flying and truly an amazing feeling.” Today, she feels that same freeing feeling designing homes in our Indianapolis Division. “It’s a great blend of creativity and logic,” Amy said. “You can’t just design something that’s pretty, it also has to function. Our Raleigh Division recently held a special event at a local high school, aimed at ushering more talent into the industry. The school has a robust construction department that participates in division, regional and national tournaments. In 2023, the all-girl team took home first place in building. The school's construction teacher, Mr. Collins, shared “This story illustrates the kind of partnership and outreach that has the potential to be life changing for our students.” Next up, the team is planning an on-site field trip to our Bridgeberry community for students to gain experience in new-home construction. #ThisisTMLiving
