About us

Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, such as furniture assembly, handyman work, moving help, and much more. Acquired by IKEA Group - the world’s largest furniture retailer - in 2017 At Taskrabbit, we want to make your neighborhood a little more familiar. Whether it’s a handyman (or woman!), a housecleaner, moving help or delivery person, we’re imagining a world where everyone will have a go-to team to make everyday life easier. As a company we celebrate innovation, inclusion and hard work. As a pioneer of the sharing economy, Taskrabbit was founded on the premise of neighbors helping neighbors. Since then, our network has grown to eight countries and 75+ cities, yet our core mission of creating a better everyday life for everyday people has remained the same. Together with IKEA, we’re creating more opportunities for people to earn a consistent, meaningful income on their own terms by building lasting relationships with clients in communities around the world. We are a group of mission-minded people. Our culture is collaborative, pragmatic, and fast-paced. We’re looking for talented, entrepreneurially-minded and data-driven people who also have a passion for helping people do what they love - and have a ton of fun while they’re at it.

At Taskrabbit, we celebrate Pride not just in June, but all year round by remembering how far the LGBTQIA+ community has come and the work still left to be done. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Our internal cultural affinity group, Queer at TR, has created a month of programming, including a volunteer opportunity in NYC and drag bingo with Marti Gould Cummings. Special thank you to Ashlee Jones (Senior Partner Manager) and Fred Braunstein (Senior Counsel) for planning these events! ❤️ Learn all about Pride and how you can support. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/e3-fSUqv

Excited to share that expecting parents can now ask for the thing they need most: help. Through our partnership with Joy, parents-to-be can now add Taskrabbit gift cards to their registry and hire a Tasker to set up any nursery furniture or help babyproof their home. ❤️

Last week, we celebrated the graduates of our sixth annual Taskrabbit YOUniversity class! Say hello to the Class of 2024! This group of 24 incredible individuals spent the past three months diving deeper into who they are, where they want to go in their careers, and how to give and receive feedback along the way. Volunteering is a core part of our culture at Taskrabbit. Last Friday, April 19th, marked our second official Volunteer Day! Taskrabbit employees in Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, and Chicago gathered to utilize their Volunteer Time Off and contribute to their local communities by volunteering at Habitat for Humanity Affiliates. Big thanks to all of the Taskrabbit employees who helped organize these events—we can't wait for our next Volunteer Day!

Taskrabbit for Good (TR4G) has been busy the past few months, sponsoring furniture assembly services for several non-profits in partnership with IKEA stores. In Marble Falls, Texas TR4G sponsored Tasker Joseph O. to assemble IKEA-donated furniture for Candlelight Ranch. This incredible organization offers science and nature-based curricula to 35+ non-profit youth-serving organizations and schools. The children served include those with physical challenges, emotional and behavioral challenges, economically disadvantaged, intellectually delayed, and developmentally delayed. Thank you to IKEA Round Rock and Joseph O.! In Brooklyn, TR4G sponsored Taskers Maxim S. and Aleksandr O. to assemble IKEA-donated furniture for the youth activity room at the Red Hook Recreation Center. The Center provides a safe space for youth to call a home away from home. The newly remodeled youth activity room is now a hub for afterschool studying, crafting, and cooking classes. Thank you to IKEA Brooklyn and Taskers Maxim and Aleksandr! In St. Paul, Minnesota, TR4G sponsored Taskers Dan W., Kachi A., Detwon W., and Ugo E. to assemble IKEA-donated furniture for STAR House (Strength, Time and Resilience), a crisis nursery that provides a temporary home away from home for children and supportive services to uplift and strengthen the entire family. Children from birth to 7 years old can stay for up to 72 hours at a time, and parents receive resources and support. Thank you to IKEA Minneapolis and the four fabulous Taskers who made this project possible!
