Good news Monday - our team voted us a Top Workplace for the second year in a row! If you know TailGate, we hope you know that it’s our goal to be the best place to work in the state...not just within our industry. We rolled out 100% company-paid health benefits a few years ago (the biggest single expense we’ve ever taken on!), and we work hard to be transparent about our wages and ensure they rank among the best. Welcome, Wizards. A spell has been in the works at our humble dwelling. Peering into the mists of times past and present, our wish was to create for you, dear reader, a potion so juicy, so weightily hopped but distinctly imbibable, that you wouldst doubt your own senses. You are thus considered a loyal patron of the Wizards’ Order: our newest IPA collection. This Friday, fill your cup with Juice Wizard, a Wizards’ Order IPA - the founding father of our distinguished order. Aromas of zesty orange and peach on a medium-light bodied elixir with firm bitterness and flavors of citrus, mango and berries underpinned with resin and pine. Collect a new character in the realm with the advent of each season (every 90 days) at our eight establishments, or at the other fine taverns you frequent around our state.

Let's talk local collabs. We first introduced Pink Lemonade Shandy on draft in 2021, and immediately knew we had to get it into cans. It’s the perfect springtime beverage: bright, refreshing, crushable. We brought it out to our partners in market in 2022, and into the ballpark in 2023 as an exclusive branded collab with Nashville Sounds Baseball Club! Ever since that first year, it's been one of our most asked-for seasonal releases. The Sounds are great partners to us, and it's been so fun to see this seasonal release morph into a much-demanded, uniquely Nashville spring beer. Y'all know we couldn't introduce another iteration without something fun & new... Sounds Strawberry Lemonade Shandy will release today at our Germantown taproom!! Packed with bright flavors of lemon and fresh, summer strawberries. Brewed and blended with real lemonade made in-house, we’re counting down the days until we can crack one open in the stadium (the first homestand game on April 2nd, to be exact) ⚾️

Murfreesboro! Funny how things work out! We almost bought this very property a couple years ago. The story why we did not? Mama says if you have nothing nice to say…. But when the opportunity came up to buy the property again, we jumped. We’d already done a ton of due diligence. The location is A+. And we love the opportunity to grow into a location. Purchasing the real estate makes that happen. At our all-team meeting, State of the ‘Gate last Friday, we had the opportunity to share the news with our team first. News is cool, why is better. Craft breweries are struggling these days. There are a lot of closures. And most breweries are contracting, not growing. We built a foundation in our brewery that supports organizational growth. A new taproom in Murfreesboro allows us to introduce ourselves to the rest of a community that already supports the hell out of us. Another taproom means our brewery keeps brewing - we can weather things like distribution challenges. It means we can be true to our goals, values, and commitments. We pay best in the nation in our industries. I know, I check. We offer 100% healthcare. We have an uncompromising pursuit of perfection in every beer, every pizza, every interaction. We do all that because y'all support us. Thank you! We keep doing what we love, because y’all keep sharing the journey with us. Thank you! We can’t wait to kick these doors open, Murfreesboro!

Always excited to share the news of a new taproom, but this one might just take the cake: TailGate Brewery Murfreesboro will open this summer!!! Murfreesboro has been far and away our most-requested taproom location, and we’ve been working on finding the perfect home here for years. The people of Murfreesboro, and all our retail partners in the area, have been incredibly kind supporters of our mission to be the best brewery, and workplace, in Tennessee, and we’re so very excited to join the community here. We’ll open early this summer at 210 Stones River Mall Blvd with 30 of our craft beers on draft, full craft pizza menu, and outdoor seating area overlooking Stones River. As we hope you know, we’re so incredibly grateful for your support. We have one local owner and zero investors, so every TailGate beer you drink has a direct impact on our ability to make great beer, great pizza, and a great workplace for our team…at our current taprooms and new ones. Whether you drink that beer at one of our taprooms, or from any of our retail partners across the state, thank you!

If you don't follow us on Instagram or TikTok (you should), we're doing a little series called "Week of Why." First up is beer - we brew 250+ unique recipes each year, which puts us in the U.S. top 10 for variety - but why? The goal when you come to any of our taprooms is that we have something new for you to try. Every time. You could come on a Thursday, and by Saturday afternoon there could be 3 new beers for you to try. Some of it’s simple, right? We want you to come back. We want to keep things interesting. We also have a lot more fun creating new recipes. We get to push the envelope of creating great beer that’s also fun to drink. It's a lot of work...fun work, but still work, to make that many beers. It's constant logistics, constant redevelopment and R&D in pursuit of being ever-better. Honestly, it'd be a lot easier NOT to brew as many beers as we do each year. But that's not who we are or why we exist. Anyone can come and find a beer that they're into AND something new to try, whether that's our line of traditional lagers (Lager Projekt), or a fruit smoothie bomb like our SHNACK series. Big night for the crew at our annual holiday party! All the love to the people who make it happen every day: pouring beers, slinging pizzas, brewing, running ops, driving up from Chattanooga, and so much more. And we’re thankful for you. To put it simply, it all matters.
