As any attendee of February's annual AHR Expo will tell you, conversations on topics pertaining to R-410A's impending phaseout were unavoidable, as next January's deadline for the manufacture and import of new R-410A units looms. And, while discourse on the implications of the HFC phasedown may be more prevalent in the commercial HVAC industry, regulation will soon impact several other refrigerants and markets as well. It's Not Just R-410A. Medium-Temp HFC Transition is Here Too | Super Radiator Coils https://hubs.la/Q02zrdDK0

Conversations on the topic of HFC refrigerant transition have been unavoidable in the HVAC industry over the last couple of years. And, with January 2025 quickly approaching, discourse around replacement refrigerants has really heated up. So, we sat down with Dr. Jian Yu, SRC's VP of R&D and Sales Application Engineer Illya Kajan to talk through some performance differences between R-410A and blended refrigerants - specifically R-454B - and some practical implications of those differences on coil performance and design. Check out our recent webinar to learn more about it, as well as SRC's performance modeling capabilities for R-454B in Enterprise, our coil selection software. https://hubs.la/Q02yChDC0

Last week, a group from our Minnesota Division donated some of their time to pick up trash in the area around our facility. The team of nearly 40 was able to gather dozens of bags of worth of trash, spending some time outdoors and enjoying each other's company in the process. Nice going, everyone!

In a compression-expansion refrigeration cycle, the condenser coil takes the heat absorbed by the system’s evaporator and rejects it away from the space being conditioned. Read our blog to learn more about how they work, how they're designed, and the components used to build them. An evaporator coil performs one half of the function of a typical compression-expansion refrigeration loop, and is responsible for providing the 'cooling effect' associated with air conditioning. Read SRC's latest blog to learn more about how they work, how they're built, and how proper design can help maximize their performance. What is an Evaporator?
