Discover Lolia Etomi, joining SpreeAI as Head of Data Privacy! 💡 We would love to know more about you! Can you tell us more about you and your background? Hi, I'm Lolia Etomi, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and qualified lawyer with a diverse international background, being Nigerian and having lived in the US, and the UK. I specialize in data privacy, compliance, risk assessment, and strategy across various sectors and jurisdictions. I hold six degrees, including undergraduate and master's degrees from Cambridge University, and a master's from the University of Surrey, covering fields from Law to Theology & Religious Studies to Acting. In addition to my legal career, I'm a passionate and award-winning filmmaker and artist. My work in acting, directing, producing, writing, and mixed media art has been recognized with honors, including Emmys, and inclusion on the Oscar shortlist for Best Short Film. Furthermore, my projects have garnered awards at prestigious festivals like Diversity in Cannes and the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival. I'm always excited to connect with others in the fields of privacy law, compliance, and the arts. 💡 What is your favorite brand and why? It's hard for me to pick a favourite brand because life is dynamic haha! But right now, I am really loving Hanifa and Dye Lab.
