Sinto representative Mike Hennessey recently attended the AFS Government Affairs Fly-In, a two-day event focused on advocating for common-sense regulations that impact the metal casting industry. Crucial topics were discussed such as fighting overregulation, combatting trade cheats, restoring a pro-growth tax code, and modernizing America’s workforce development system. This week, employees at #RobertsSinto participated in a shredding and paper #recycling initiative. Employees were encouraged to clean out their workspaces and department storage areas, as well as, bring in documents from home. Shred-It calculated 700lbs of paper were recycled. Recycling paper conserves natural resources, saves energy, reduces #greenhouse gas emissions, and keeps landfill space free for other types of trash that can't be recycled. Last week, Sinto’s #service team installed a FBO-3B flaskless #molding machine at Vestal Manufacturing. Vestal Manufacturing, located in Sweetwater, #Tennessee, has been providing #quality USA-made gray iron #castings for over 65 years. The FBO "B" style machine Vestal purchased has a taller mold height from cope and taller mold height to drag compared to the "S" style machines. This week, Sinto is preparing to ship Pier Foundry & Pattern Shop, Inc.'s custom, state-of-the-art FBO-2s mold handling line. This line is complete with #aeration and a mold accumulator belt conveyor with push on option. Pier’s investment will significantly improve their #manufacturing process by increasing production capabilities, ensuring higher quality #castings and creating faster turnaround times.
