AAPI Heritage month promotes inclusivity and unity, bringing together people of all backgrounds to celebrate the incredible impact of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage on our society. Our ShutterColors employee resource group recently hosted guest speaker George Goeth-Chi Chao, VP/GM of Spoonflower. George spent his first 5 years in Taiwan and was raised in Germany. He now lives in America. He shared that he identifies as Taiwanese, German, and American. 4 Fun Facts about George: “I am a dancer, I am a TikToker, I am a crocheter, My favorite job was being a stay at home Dad!”   His biggest piece of advice from when he was starting out is to be a sponge –absorb everything you can. Last week, we hosted our monthly company town hall live from our headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with more than 250 people joining in person and an additional 1,000 tuning in virtually. Earth will always be our favorite planet! 🌍 ❤️ At Shutterfly, we are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship and our Orange Goes Green employee resource group leads the way. Throughout the month of April, they are organizing on-site activities at our manufacturing facilities including site clean-ups and tree planting. At our Tempe, location, they recently gave away more than 1,600 trees to nearby Arizona residents. Says one of the group's leaders Kierstan Thomann, “Trees are important for air quality, carbon mitigation, and heat resiliency. We love collaborating with organizations like Trees Matter and SRP which are making a difference. Every action matters. We always do a happy dance when our female leaders get recognized for their greatness. Shout to our Director of Manufacturing in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Nikki Kral, who received a Women in Business Award from the Charlotte Business Journal. Nikki oversees and manages operations at our 300,000-square-foot facility that employs 400 full-time employees and more than 500 seasonal contractors. Nikki’s advice to other leaders just starting out: “As a young, female leader it can be tough, and there will always be haters. I prove myself and overcome through results, and I do it my way. Brb…going viral. ✨ Earlier this week, Shutterfly held its first-ever internal Social Media Summit at our home office in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. It was two days full of energy, trends, learnings, and visits from our partners at Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube. Oh yeah, we were also joined by one of our favorite social media personalities, Natalie (Corporate Natalie). 

We are honored to be named to America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. Their survey of over 220,000+ individuals included representation at over 1.5 million companies in America.
