SESI is proud to win the Big Apple Brownfield Award, 2 years in a row! This year we won it for the Whitlock Plaza! We worked with Stagg Group and Knauf Shaw LLP to complete this complex project which created a positive impact for the community. Historic use: auto sales and gas station Containment considerations: underground storage tanks, soil contamination with various organic compounds and metals Remediation efforts: excavation, soil disposal, closure of underground tanks, and installation of vapor extraction and barrier systems End use: 14-story residential building Thank you New York City Brownfield Partnership!
