Six outstanding employees were recognized last week at our annual J.H. Abrahams event, which celebrates employees who have been with Security Benefit for 25+ years. J.H. Abrahams was president of SB from 1954-1975. Beginning in our mail room, he became president through hard work and perseverance. He also founded our Charitable Trust and developed a reputation as an advocate for employees. Congratulations to this year's honorees and previous recipients of this milestone award. Our new Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Benchmark Study notes that annuities are gaining prevalence with over half of respondents (55%) using fixed annuities or planning to use them and 45% saying the same for fixed index annuities (FIAs). Fixed annuities allow RIAs to lock in high current rates for clients, while FIAs offer a way to help improve risk-adjusted returns by tapping some of the potential of equities, without directly investing in the market.
