After a successful weekend performing at The Governor's Ball in New York City, we are now gearing up to perform at Summerfest next week! In just seven days, 628 students from 50+ School of Rock locations are playing at the world's largest music festival in Milwaukee. Known for it's renowned, permanent outdoor festival space, Summerfest hosts over 800 bands and attracts 900,000 fans over three weekends on 11 different stages. This year's lineup includes prominent artists such as Kane Brown, Mötley Crüe, SZA, Goo Goo Dolls, Umphrey’s McGee, Illenium, Keith Urban, AJR, Maroon 5, Hippo Campus, Bryson Tiller, Mt. Joy, and many more. On Thursday, June 20, we are kicking off the festival weekend with a private performance at The Rave. This massive 180,000 square foot, multi-level music venue with three stages will set the perfect scene for an incredible weekend of music. On Friday, June 21 through Saturday, June 22, we are performing live on 6 Summerfest stages in downtown Milwaukee. School of Rock is coming to England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. We are thrilled to announce that School of Rock is expanding into the United Kingdom, marking our presence in 19 countries worldwide. Matias Puga H., our master franchisee in Latin America, has signed an agreement to open 30 new School of Rock locations in the UK by 2035! 🇬🇧 Matias became a master franchisee in January 2018, with rights to Chile, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, and Paraguay. Just five months ago, he added Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Uruguay to his portfolio, helping to earn him the title of 2023 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association. “Music is an international language that has the power to positively change lives no matter where you're from. The powerful transformation School of Rock inspired in my daughters when they were enrolled as students is what drove me to bring this concept to my home country of Chile in the first place, and I've since had the honor of witnessing that impact on an increasingly global scale,” said Puga-Hamilton. “I'm eager to continue making a difference, and what better place to do so next than in the birthplace of so much of the music that we celebrate and use to educate our students around the world to this day?” The first UK School of Rock will open in London in early 2025, joining our growing European network with schools already in Spain, Portugal, and Ireland.
