It marks the day in 1865 when the Emancipation Proclamation reached Galveston, Texas. 🌟What an amazing Impact Day with Deloitte at Confluence Park! 💪🌱 On June 7th, the San Antonio River Authority teamed up with Deloitte for their annual Impact Day, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Participants joined our Natural Resource Management Specialist and team at Confluence Park for a hands-on lesson about the landscaping that makes this park so special. Together, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work removing invasive species. 🦋 Confluence Park isn't just a park—it's an educational tool that showcases multiple Texas ecosystems! 🌿 Limiting invasive plant growth is key to create a thriving habitat for native plants. Invasive plants that establish themselves in local ecosystems can outcompete native species for resources like water, sunlight, and nutrients. 🌎 Thank you to Deloitte for their time making difference in preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of our community. #ImpactDay #Deloitte #ConfluencePark #NativePlants #InvasiveSpecies #OutdoorEducation #CommunityEngagement #EnvironmentalStewardship #SanAntonioTX #SanAntonioRiver #SafeCleanEnjoyable #SanAntonioRiverAuthority
