The most sustainable, most trusted, most scalable solution for reusable cups and serveware: r.Cup | r.Ware | r.Turn

About us

We believe in a future without mountains of garbage and oceans of trash, so we’re changing the way the world uses cups, clamshells, and serveware. No more single-use products at venues, live events, arenas, stadiums, or restaurants. It’s time to switch to reusable r.Cups and r.Ware from r.World. WHY REUSE? Recycling and composting aren’t working. Plastic is barely recycled at all. Making and recycling single-use aluminum is a toxic drain on our scarce resources. And most compostable trash never gets composted. The best way to end single-use waste is reuse, and r.World makes it easy. SAY YES TO THE MOST GOOD. -THE MOST SUSTAINABLE r.Cups and r.Ware have the lowest possible carbon footprint at every step of the process—better than composting, recycling, and any other reusables. -THE MOST EASY r.World makes reuse effortless for your operations. You get hands-on support, easy ordering on the r.Turn™ app, and everything you need to ensure high return rates. -THE MOST ROI Venues and concessionaires that implement our no-risk funding model typically see per-head sales go up, while housekeeping costs and waste-hauling fees go down. -THE MOST ROBUST We serve businesses and crowds of every size—from 300 to three million—and we’re equipped to support whatever you need. We were the first large-scale reuse company in the U.S. and we’ve been tested and proven in every kind of venue and food service operation, with the most advanced reuse platform available. -THE MOST COMMITTED TO YOUR COMMUNITY We’re locally invested and fully committed to providing second-chance employment opportunities, building in development zones (whenever possible), and providing wash services for other reuse efforts in town. -THE MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT SOLVING THE SINGLE-USE CRISIS We’re building the reuse infrastructure today that will shape the world tomorrow. If you're looking for the smartest way to eliminate waste, you’ve found it. Switch to r.World’s reusable r.Cup and r.Ware solutions today.

The headline says it all! Thank you Pollstar for the feature story putting the spotlight on reuse and r.World | Reuse! “Part of the reason we exist is because, at live events, recycling is challenging. Everything gets commingled, and as a result, that waste has to go to landfill. Compost or bioplastic cups don’t work at live events either because of the same problem of contamination. The only way those work is if they’re hand-sorted and taken to an industrial composting facility, and that very rarely happens. If you want to do what’s right for the environment, the best thing is reuse.” - Michael Martin, Founder & CEO r.World | Reuse The movement is strong across the music industry, and is inspiring many others into action. We're proud to be part of it. #reuse #sustainability #solution #impact Read more:

We're excited to welcome Seattle's iconic SIFF Cinemas to the reuse movement! "Patrons at SIFF Cinemas can now sip their favorite beverage from reusable cups, making a significant stride towards a greener future. Not only does this partnership foster a bond between the city and the arts community, but also serves as an educational platform for Seattle residents as they embark on their reuse journey at the movies." Thank you City of Seattle, Seattle Public Utilities, and Reuse Seattle for the support and leading reuse across the region, and US. We’re excited to announce that we won Washington State Recycling Association’s 2024 Recycler of the Year Award – Innovation. Each year, WSRA recognizes people, businesses, programs and organizations that demonstrate innovation and leadership in the field of waste reduction. Thanks WSRA for the honor and supporting reuse as an innovative solution to single-use waste! Since opening our Seattle-based industrial wash facility in 2022, we’ve provided dozens and dozens of clients with reusable cup and container services, including AEG’s Showbox venues, Seattle Theatre Group's The Paramount and The Moore, SIFF's cinemas: Egyptian, Film Center, Uptown, and Downtown, plus cultural attractions like Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Aquarium, corporate partners like Microsoft, festivals like the Ballard Seafood Fest, and sports facilities like Angel Of The Winds Arena | An OVG360 Facility . In Washington state alone, we’ve already eliminated over 1 million single-use items, preventing the use of over 12 tons of single-use material. Through this waste diversion, we've eliminated over 60k lbs of CO2 and 27k liters of crude oil, and saved over 90k kWh of electricity and 170k gallons of water. And those numbers continue to grow, with 2024 already breaking records! Shout out to Reuse Seattle and all of our amazing partners for helping drive the reuse movement ... throughout Washington, and beyond. This award is as much yours as ours. Congrats! PS - The reuse movement is growing fast, and Washington is helping lead the way. Ready to join? Reach out to our local expert, Beau Myers (pictured with award). A better future is in your hands! #reuse #sustainability #innovation #award

It was a huge honor to bring reuse to the LA Conservation Corps 2024 Annual Luncheon! At the event, 500+ community, business, and government leaders came together to celebrate young Angelenos working hard to improve our communities, the environment, and the future of LA. Who better to show that reuse is the future and easy to implement - even at dining events. As you can see from the photos, the tables were beautifully set with our reusable r.Cups and r.Ware food containers that can be used again and again and again. Congrats to all of the honorees, and thank you, LA Conservation Corps. A better future is in your hands! #losangeles #greenjobs #reuse #sustainability #environment

We're so proud of our Founder & CEO Michael Martin for this well-deserved recognition! He received an honorary doctorate and gave an inspiring commencement speech at his alma mater, Carroll University. See photo highlights and his helpful advice for graduates (and really, for everyone in life!) The future looks bright. Congrats to all 2024 graduates! #future #graduation #Classof2024 #tips

This weekend, I had the honor to return to my Alma Mater Carroll University, where I received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree and gave the commencement speech to 7,000 graduating students, families, and friends. I talked about my work over the years bringing different entities together to tackle some of our greatest sustainability challenges. The framework for this strategy was inspired by my undergrad psychology professor, Dr. David Simpson and his training on “Superordinate goals”. I also took a moment to acknowledge my best friend and partner in business, Tom Sellars, who I met at Carroll University in 1979. And, I shared 6 Ideas I wish I knew the day I graduated: 1️⃣ Live your life and your career with purpose. Do it with meaning and passion. Make the world a better place than you found it. 2️⃣ Always be curious. I’ve always looked for things that seemed wrong and thought about how they could be made better. Why are we throwing away billions of single-use items? Why are we not talking about climate change? Why are we putting forever toxins in our environment and our bodies? Always ask why? Or why not? 3️⃣ Constantly Learn. Stay on top of the news and world events and trends. Be a critical thinker. Always check multiple legit publications and be careful of the extensive misinformation on social media. 4️⃣ Be real, be truthful with yourself. Don’t tell yourself things are awesome when they aren’t but at the same time, more importantly, don’t look for negatives, look for positives. When you do this, you will see possibilities.  5️⃣ There are no shortcuts. Work hard and have the drive to achieve success. 6️⃣ Now is all that matters. You only have this one second, one minute, one hour, one day, one year, and one life. Build on past learnings, look to the future, but live in the present. Thank you to Carroll University for the honorary Doctorate and the privilege of speaking to the class of 2024. And, to all the graduates out there, I offer my heartfelt congratulations! #Classof2024 #commencement #graduation #advice #findyourpurpose #future
