It’s World Oceans Day this Saturday, June 8 and we never miss an opportunity to celebrate the incredible oceans we sail. This year we are putting the spotlight on our OceanScope program, created in partnership with the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science that equips our ships with instruments providing scientists with critical information to study the oceans. In a new video series, we will help educate guests on key ocean topics like what an oceanographer is and understanding currents. Guests of all ages can test their ocean knowledge to earn a special “Ocean Explorer” certificate. The ocean inspires us, and we hope this series inspires our guests to SEA the Future. Last year, we began a journey to learn more about our teams and why Royal Caribbean Group is their employer of choice. We asked shipboard, private destination and shoreside crew to share their WHY – why they joined, why they stay – to understand what makes this company so special. We heard hundreds of stories about on the innovative work we do, the growth opportunities available to all, the challenges that push us to grow personally and professionally, and the company’s commitment to doing the right thing. And while all these reasons speak volumes about this incredible company that we are proud to call ours, one reason stood above all: OUR PEOPLE - how much we enjoy working with each other. Today we're launching "Propelled by People: Our Stories" — an employee-portrait series created in partnership with renowned photographer Steve McCurry, famous for his captivating portrait entitled “Afghan Girl.” Our company innovates to make dreams a reality. And at the heart of our business is our people who propel Royal Caribbean Group forward every day. They are the heartbeat of this company, and these are their stories. #PropelledbyPeople

It’s that time of year again! We have some new faces at our Port Miami campus as our summer interns celebrate their first day. This year, we have 54 interns joining us from 24 schools learning all areas of our business over the next 10 weeks. As they roll up their sleeves on real-time projects, they’ll learn all the ins and outs of our business, including enjoying the full cruise experience onboard Independence of the Seas to see how their work contributed to delivering the ultimate vacation experience. Our President and CEO Jason Liberty and our Chief People and Outreach Officer Dana Ritzcovan kicked off the day walking our interns through our business, their stories and the initiatives we have on campus. We can’t wait to see what they come up with this summer as they help us turn the vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations for our guests.

Brenda's story is one of adventure and growth within the Royal Caribbean Group family. Starting as a bar server on Enchantment of the Seas in 2008, Brenda embarked on a journey across the Caribbean, forming new relationships and exploring beautiful destinations. The excitement continued as Brenda joined the startup teams of Oasis of the Seas in 2010 and Harmony of The Seas in 2015, progressing from bartender to lead bartender. In 2019, Brenda took on a new challenge, joining the startup team at Perfect Day at CocoCay and is now celebrating almost five years on this stunning island in the Bahamas. Reflecting on this journey, Brenda says, "It's been an incredible five years witnessing the growth of Perfect Day CocoCay, from Thrill Waterpark and Coco Beach Club to the luxurious Hideaway Beach, where I now serve as Assistant Bar Manager.” Thank you, Brenda, for bringing delicious creations to our team! 🍹 If you're ready to start your own adventure in one of our private paradises, explore career opportunities with us at https://lnkd.in/gGKKNz4c. ⚓️ #IAMRCG #PropelledbyPeople

It’s been a big week for Royal Caribbean International as the line celebrated its sponsorship of the Eurovision Song Contest, the world’s biggest and longest-running song contest. Royal Caribbean International celebrated the partnership with over 150 travel agents and special guests at the show finals and the fun was rolled out to four European sailings on Anthem, Explorer, Odyssey and Oasis of the Seas. On board, guests could enjoy curated menus and drinks as well as bespoke live entertainment, while sailing from one popular European destination to the next. This all led up to the entertainment venues being transformed into the perfect spot to watch the Eurovision finale on Saturday night. It was a fantastic way to start the European summer season!

Meet Agnes, the incredible Engine Cadet aboard @RoyalCaribbean's Explorer of the Seas! She's here to share what motivates her every day: "I grew up in Kumasi-Ashanti Region, Ghana, far from the sea. But stories of seafarers always fascinated me. When I enrolled in a maritime university, I knew I had to make the little girl in me proud. As a female in this field, I strive to break barriers and inspire others to join the maritime industry.” Her advice to aspiring applicants? “Don't lose hope! Stay positive and keep pushing, because dreams really do come true!” Thank you, Agnes, for inspiring us all! Want to make your seafaring dreams come true?
